In January 2026, we launched a dream at Double Diamond Elementary: a place where students master the art of flight and the logic of code. The response was explosive. Within weeks, we hit capacity and started a waitlist of eager young pilots.
Here is the reality: Currently, our students are flying on "borrowed wings". We rent our equipment from the Desert Research Institute, which means our "cockpits" eventually have to be returned.
The only thing standing between a student on the waitlist and a drone in the air is the equipment itself. We aren't just looking for "funding"—we are looking to build a permanent hangar for Reno's future aviators.
