Here in Reno and Sparks, we are surrounded by people who want to make a real difference. We have a community that deeply respects our veterans, cherishes our local history, and wants to see every child succeed.
The desire to give back is incredibly powerful. The challenge isn't a lack of compassion—it's finding a way to turn those good intentions into tangible, immediate support for local veterans, National Guard families, and vulnerable neighbors in the Indian Colony.

We are the Daughters of the American Revolution, Nevada Sagebrush Chapter. For over a century, our chapter has been driven by a simple belief: a community is only as strong as the people who show up for it.
That means showing up for our veterans by placing wreaths on graves, hosting Salutes to Veterans at local VA hospitals, and welcoming heroes home on Honor Flights. It means showing up at Reno's oldest cemetery, Hillside, to clear overgrowth and protect the resting places of our pioneers. It means partnering with the Reno/Sparks Indian Colony to provide professional attire and resume support for job seekers. And it means packing backpacks so the children of our local National Guard are ready for their first day of school.

The Daughters of the American Revolution, Nevada Sagebrush Chapter
The Daughters of the American Revolution, Nevada Sagebrush Chapter is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to help support many of our local community projects such as Service for Veterans, Conservation, Historic Preservation (specifically Hillside Cemetery), Project Back to School Brigade (providing back-to-school supplies for children of our local National Guard), and the Reno/Sparks Indian Colony.
