About Tony Fiannaca

Co-Owner/President & Chief Design Officer, Sparks Florist

Tony Fiannaca turns algebra into artistry. For 25 years he has set the creative compass for every retail bouquet, six-figure wedding, and corporate installation across Reno-Tahoe. Armed with a mathematics degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, he reverse-engineered vase life and devised mechanics that shrug off 110-mile delivery runs and high-desert winds.

When planners flash Pinterest boards, Tony fires up spreadsheets and AI assistants, translating dreamy collages into line-item budgets before the first ribbon unrolls. His profit-friendly formulas headline Society of American Florists workshops and power mentoring sessions at the Nevada Small Business Center. Future designers feel that rigor too: he chairs judging for Nevada’s FFA Floriculture Career Development Event, quizzing students on wiring drills and Latin IDs.

Community is his encore. Before spreadsheets ruled his desk, Tony played tenor saxophone in the University of Nevada Marching Band and the Reno Wind Symphony. Today his off-hours passion is a backyard berry patch big enough to satisfy two pint-size fruit fiends (a.k.a. his kids). Between tending vines and tinkering with eco-friendly wrap prototypes, he shares the craft through private masterclasses, corporate floral workshops, and monthly hands-on sessions that leave guests smelling like success.

Tony’s promise is simple: blend math, curiosity, and fearless creativity to deliver flowers - and experiences - that survive Tahoe gusts and steal every show.
